My name is Phoenix and I am offering my services as a consultant for companies in the EdTech industry that want to substantially improve the products they currently have and plan to develop in the future.
I worked in a career for 25 years where I suffered so much from the type of environment I was in and being unfulfilled by the work that I could not handle it any longer. I realized I needed a big change.
I come from an ordinary background and I have mostly lived an ordinary life. When I left my career, I immersed myself in a process of deep self-discovery. During this process I found that I have a passion for learning. I have three boys in public school. The youngest in kindergarten and the oldest in sixth grade. As my life moved from what was once ordinary to what has now become non-ordinary, the way I viewed life has changed. From this new perspective I have witnessed my children move through a system of learning where the odds are stacked against them.
I went through this same system myself that focuses on the needs of the system first and not enough on the needs of the children. This causes our children to check out, shut down emotionally and many become rebellious. It’s not energetically or morally sound. There is a significantly better way. In my self-discovery process I have brought big change to my life and I have had to relearn the way I was taught to learn. I found that it is my own process of learning that directly aligns with how children are best suited to learn themselves. As I have sat with my boy’s teachers I’ve been able to bring real change to the table in small, yet meaningful ways. I am looking to bring this positive impact to a bigger scale.
I want to bring the passion I have found for learning to your products. My approach focuses on the needs of the children first, not the needs of a system. I am an advocate for the children’s needs and by being an advocate for their needs I can help you with your products and services.
